DAY 1, – Sanliurfa – Mardin – Deyir El Zafaran – Dara – Mor Yakup di Nusaybin
Breakfast at 08.00 am, departure from the Hotel and we start to visit
The old city of Edessa/Urfa. We will depart from Urfa approximately at h.17.00 and we will be at h.20.30 in Mardin. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Mardin.
DAY 2, – MARDIN
Breakfast and early visits to the Monastery of Deir El Zaferan, also called
Mor Hananya, was the residence of the Patriarch of Antiochia of the Syrian Orthodox Church
for about 640 years and now is the diocese of Mardin. Visit the ancient city of Mardin and
dinner in restaurants of the city. Continuing with our visits to the Archaeological Museum and
the Museum of Modern Mardin. Diner and overnight at the Hotel in Mardin.
DAY 3, – MARDIN – Dara – Mor Yakup di Nusaybin – Beyaz Su – Midyat
Breakfast, after breakfast we will depart for the ancient archaeological site of Dara and visit the
Site. Afterwards we continue to Nusaybin to visit the ancient university of Mor Yakub of
Nisibis. Continuation for a break on Beyaz su.Nel late afternoon we continue to
Midyat. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Midyat.
DAY 4, – Midyat – Hah – Salih – Hasankeyf – Midyat
Breakfast, after breakfast departure to the village of Hah, visit the jewel of Tur Abdin, the Church of St. Mary Hah, we continue to visit the Monastery of Mor Yakup of Salih. We continue our journey to the village of Hasankeyf, considered the site of the oldest settlements of Mesopotamia 12.00 thousand years of history, in large part, located on the rocky shores of the right bank of the Tigris and rare beauty. The UNSCO says is the archaeological site of the first Instance and is likely to be Submerged due to the construction of the imposing Ilisu dam. Lunch around 14.00 on the banks of the Tigris River and follows to visit the site. Late afternoon return to Midyat and free time for shopping. Dinner at local restaurants and overnight at the Hotel in Midyat.
DAY 5, – Mor Gabriel – Mor Augin – Beyaz Su – Mor Melke – Kefro
Breakfast, starting with our visit to the Monastery of Mor Gabriel, is the largest center of Assyrian Christians of Tur Abdin and the diocese in the region of Midyat. Afterwards we continue our trip to the Monastery of Mor Augin, the of the 3rd century, located on Mount Izlo with panoramic views on the Silk Road and the Mesopotamian plain in the region of Nusaybin.
Continue our trip to Beyaz su for lunch on the banks of white water. After lunch, departure for a visit to the Monastery of Mor Melke, is located on Mount Izlo and on the way of our return we will have a break at the village of Kefro. For Dinner we will have pizza of Tur Abdin in Kefro. After Dinner we will return to Midyat and overnight at the hotel in Midyat.
DAY 6, – Midyat – Diyarbakir
Breakfast, check out from the Hotel and departure to Diyarbakir and dining at local restaurants. Our visits are based; the Syrian Orthodox Church of St. Mary, the Catholic Church (Chaldean) St. Petrus, the Armenian Church of St. Giragos and the ancient walls of Amida / Diyarbakir. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Diyarbakir.
DAY 7, – Diyarbakir – Europe
Breakfast, check out from the Hotel and transfer to the airport of Diyarbakir for boarding flight to Europe.
